I left for state X (from California) this evening (8/7) at 7.00pm. I will be back in San Jose on 8/14 at 10.00am. I received a mail this evening (around 5pm) with a finger print notice for 8/12. I took the notice with me and took my flight and I reached state X this evening. The notice has a provision to request a postponing of FP session. I was planning on writing a cover letter explaining the details and then request them to re-schedule this for sometime after 8/14. I will make a copy of the notice and send in the original notice back through Fedex overnight mail. I will also make a visit to the San Jose center once I am back on 8/14 to make sure things are OK.
Please advice if the above plan of action is fine or if I should deal with this in another way.
