Urgent Help for N-600

We got our citizenship in Mar '07 and applied for N-600 for our daughter - she was under 18 when we took our citizenship. Meanwhile she has left to India to do her 6 year medical program and now we have a letter for her to take oath on Sept. 14.

We are going over tomorrow with an infopass to explain the situation to the IO and asking them to postpone the oath to December when she is planning a visit to US.

I hope everything turns out well. We do feel a bit uneasy. since we will never know what to expect.

We are not clear as to what we should tell them. Any inputs will be highly appreciated

I don't think there is any problem at all. They should have no issue with postponing the oath.

This oath is strange anyway.

She is already a citizen, the day you became a citizen and has a passport (that she travelled to India with). N-600 is just an application for the Naturalization Certificate and taking an oath again is meaningless. Please look up Flydog's last postings on this issue.
