Urgent.. Has any travelled on copy of AP??

Hi,
Has anybody travelled on the copy of AP. My H1 expired and I am working on EAD. During my trip, I forgot to carry the original AP. I am in India and coming back to US on 23rd. My AP was posted by USPS global priority mail on Jan 3rd and not yet reached India.
I am little bit worried now.
Has anyone travelled on copy of AP?
what are the possible choices?
my current AP expires on March 3rd and renewal is applied on Dec 6th. Didn't get the receipt so far.

I have entered US with AP in Dec 2002. What do you want to know?

copy or original?

did you show the original or copy of AP?
my original is assumed to be lost in the mail.

If you used the copy, what was your experiance in the airport?
did they(airline and INS officer at POE) ask for the original?

I used the original. Everything went smooth.

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't think you can pass the custom by copied AP

I travelled on AP during December 2002. The INS office at your port of Entry will ask for the original AP since he'll have to stamp it
