I hold a H4 which was stamped in Apr from Delhi and now I have got my H1 approval notice for the current year (2007) .. My husband and I are all set to move to US by August as he would start his job assignment by August. Since we did not hear about the H1 for this long we had kind of lost hope on my application making it through the lottery ! By god's grace I got the approcal notice ....
The online status of my case shows this :

Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On June 11, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
Now I have the following quetions ..
1) Can i now travel to US on my H4 ?
2) If yes, and once I enter US on H4 , can I get my H4 converted to H1 (Change of Status ) as I have a H1 approved petition ?
3) How long does this on an average take ?
Please advice me on the above . I have read from a lot of earlier posts in this forum that H4-H1 conversion can be done one the H1 approval comes through ... Can it be done in my case too?
