Urgent: h1b approval date & starting work 20 after that.

I have a 20 days gap from the h1 approval date (march 10th '03) & my start date at work Apr 2nd.(IT consulting)?

Before h1 I was on opt. OPT expired and I got h1 after about 25 days.

When going for stamping at chennai, What sort of a reason can one give for this gap of 20 days.
This 20 days pay shows up as a shortage in the w-2 total wages for 03 when compared with the throretical 9 mo wages.

No problem that there was a gap.
You had an approved H-1 and did not start working for 20 days, no big deal. You took time off a vacation

Can I say this even if I am in consulting?

SO bottom line I can say I was in loss of pay for like 20 days. and I decided to start working on xxx date. Period. (can I say that if asked??)
