Urgent! H1 transfer and 7th year extension

Hi,
My 6th year ends in the 3rd week of Sept.2006. I did an H1 transfer recently and simultaneously applied for my 7th year extension (as part of the same petition) by providing proof that my LC with another company has been pending for over 365 days. Today I got my H1 approval (done thru' premium processing). However, the California Service Center has approved it only till Sept.2006. Any idea why they didn't give it till Sept.2007 as I am eligible to get my I94 till this date? I also provided them my contract info that my company has with the client that says my contract extends till Dec.2007.

How do I seek an extension now? Please advise....again, this was applied thru' premiium processing. Thanks!!

Can any one of you please advise? Since this is a premium processing case, can I ask the Service Center to reconsider my case and ask them to extend it till Sept.2007 or should I wait till March.2006 (6 months prior to my visa end date) and then reapply with a $500 fee for extension of status....Thanks!
