URGENT ==> CP gurus ... Need your help.

I opted AOS while I was applying my I-140. My attorney sent my I-140 petition
to TSC last month around 15th (Nov). I haven\'t received receipt date. Now i changed
my mind and I want to go for CP at Chennai, India. My question is
1) How can I change to CP now irrespective of I-140 approval?
2) Do i have to wait for the approval of I-140 then apply I-824 or can I amend to
   my current I-140?

Please give your suggestions/advises. Thank you for your help.

Your lawyer has to write them a letter asking for the change. He has to include your case number! Then, your lawyer has to follow-up with them. Sometimes, the INS needs persistent push. So your lawyer should be ready to invest some time into this.

You stand a good chance writing a letter with a copy reciept notice. And follow up.

If this does not work. If you are lucky, it will work. Nothing to loose. Just some some effort from your attorney.
You can always apply for I-824 after the approval. Good Luck.
