Hello All,
I have a question and appreciate any help on it.
My wife and I recently got our 485s approved (a week ago) and we got the approval notices as well as the physical cards as well.
My wife has gone out of USA in April and she is planning to come back end of this month. She has a valid Advance Parole with her.
I am wondering what needs to be done now. Do I need to send her the greencard by courier so she can enter using it or does she have to enter only using Advance Parole similar to the case of we not being able to send any extensions of AP to her?
My attorney's paralegal has suggested sending the card by courier as the AP is valid only while 485 is pending or when the passport needs to be stamped to get the actual card.
Could someone clarify if this information is correct.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
SG

Did you get card for also? If you have her card you can courier it. Or else she can enter on the AP.

AP Valid

I entered the country on an AP, about 20 days after my 485 was approved...

There is some rule, regarding sending Travel documents by Courier.....U are not allowed to send any travel Document(Passport, Green card etc...) by mail...

She can surely enter using her AP....

If one leaves US on AP before GC approval, he/she can come back on AP in case GC approval takes place when the person is away.

No worries.

If you are approved and leave US on AP w/o passport stamping, you are abandoning ( shows the intent ) your GC.

Abandoning? Passport stamping is merely a formality and many times USCIS don't even ask for passport stamping (but rather sends card directly). Only way a GC can be considered abandon when the person deicides/intends to abandon PR status. Passport stamping is not a condition for keeping PR status.
