Urgent: Filing Extension on reason other than medical/travel

I want to extend my mother's stay in US by 6 months (I-94 expires October-8). Has anyone applied and got extension for reasons other than wanting to travel and see more places in US.

The real reason is that my father passed away recently and I brought my mother with me to US. She would like to stay for another 6 months for emotional support. Questions:

1. Is it wise to state the actual reason? Would INS consider this as a sign that she is trying to stay here permanently? Do I need to send documentation to prrove my father's death?

2. This is the 4th time my mother is visiting US. If we give the reason that she wants to travel and see places, is there a chance that INS would reject it because she has been here so many times and should have toured most of US?

Please help.

Well if you use this reason it makes ur mom a potential immigrant so be careful,

it also takes away all her reason to go back.

Sorry that you lost your Dad!
I totally agree with 'Waitin too long'.
Your Mom can always quote the reason as 'want to spend time with son and grand kids (if any). I will leave before the expiry of my authorized stay just like I did during my previous visits...' etc.
No one can question the desire to spend time with grand kids. Right?
Wish you good luck.
