I am an F-1 student in New York and have been for the past 2 years but I graduated in May and was planning on applying for OPT. On April 24th I entered back into the US but I had forgotten my documents so I was issued a I-515a and I guess with all the stress surrounding my final exams and projects, I forgot to submit the form. Now I am applying for OPT but I have a I-94 with an expiry date of May 24. I just send the I-515 in and I also included documents supporting my attendance at school during the time in question and I also wrote a cover letter explaining that I was applying for OPT. My school issued me a new I-20 yesterday but I am just wondering if there is any chance I can still be accepted??
