When we go for FP, do we get a receipt after taking FP? Any prove that FP has been given. Please answer.

Yes - you receive a receipt at the office where your FP are done. You receive it before you leave the office.

One more question- how long after taking FP should I call FBI to find out if everything is okay.

I did my FP, but they didn\'t give me any receipt. I asked them the receipt, but they said they don\'t give the receipt. Anyway, I called up FBI very next day and FBI said, they have recd. my FP and has been resolved the same day. When you call FBI, give them your Alien number which is on your FP notice (it is on the right side, starts wait \'A\').

Please let me know what paperwork I have to fill out. What is the A# is it the I-94 # or my receipt #? What documents do I need to take for FP?

Depends on the local INS office. Give it at least a week after FP before calling the FBI.
