My application did not reach VFS on time, so they canceled my visa interview. I now need to schedule an emergency appointment, since I have to get back to work by the 10th of July. I teach at a college, and classes begin on that date. Hence the date is inflexible.
I procured a letter from the dean of the college stating that I have to get back by the 10th, and emailed it along with the official class schedule, to the consular emergency appointments address (ceamb@state.gov). They said they can't grant me an emergency appt., and I will have to try online.
The earliest online date is November! If I wait that long I won't have a job to go back to!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have experience getting an emergency H1 appointment in this situation? Please help!!!!! Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Also, the person at VFS told me I cannot reapply online for two working days, since there will be a hold on my receipt no. for 2 days. Is this true? Should I wait, or just cancel my existing appointment to clear it from their database, and get a new one?
