Urgent.. Emergency.. AP

We have a family emergency. My wife case is still pending. We file I 485 in Vermont but we live LA. She needs to travel in 2 weeks. How do you apply for AP? Do we need any documents as a proof for emergency?

Any experience is great help

Get an emergency Parole

Hi,

You can walk into a local INS office and get an emergency parole.

Not sure what kind of family emergency it is but whatever it is, you need an official proof of the same.

(eg: a letter or fax from a doctor explaining the condition if it is on health grounds)

Apart from that all you would need to carry are the regular documents for AP.

I do not know the office LA as I am from Northern california. You can check with Sillyman or someone from that area.

we filed I -485 in Vermont does this cause a problem in offices in LA.

u can get the address from BCIS website ,

i have heard that u can directly goto to 2nd flr to apply for AP.

may be both of u can goto BCIS office , one at 4 am to stand in line and other one get in from appt line and try from 2 flr directly

take all 485 info and docs...
docs proving the urgent need of AP.
biographics info
may be proof of residence , 140 approval
 
TP72's suggestion regarding LA office is good. Your wife can try to go directly to 2nd floor through appointments lane. You can stand in the regular lane from 3AM just in case.
You can also go to Santa Ana office even at 5 AM, it is less crowded than LA office. You do not need to live in Orange county to go there.
