Urgent EAD question

My current EAD is going to expire on 12/26 this year, but the renewal application is still pending. I was told that I can go to the district office to apply an interim one after 90 days. My question is if anybody knows in San Antonio office, can I get the card the same day? Or I have to wait 30 days like some other INS local center?
