Looks like I am heading for a major trouble and thats the reason I am here seeking your expert advice. Please help.
I am on L1 visa thats going to expire in first week of November and thats when the 5 years term of L1 will also get over. I have already filed for my I-485 but instead of extending my visa, my employer asked me to apply for EAD. Now I have my EAD with me.
I am planning to get married in the first week of October. With one month left on my visa, I doubt if my wife would be issued L2 visa or even if she is issued L2 then she can only be in US for 1 month thats when her L2 will expire.
Now my employer has asked me to apply for new H1. I am still wondering whats stopping them in requesting for L1 extention on the pretext that my GC is in progress.
Would highly appreciate your advise in this regard.
