URGent: ead Appointment?

Hi,
I had filed for my EAD renewal few months back and my lawyer just recieved an appointment for EAD renewal? Has anyone seen this situation before? What is an EAD appoinment?

Can someone please shed some light on it? Why are they asking for an appointment?

please hep me with your suggestions. My appointment is scheduled for this thursday. I live in Bay area and appoinment is in Atlanta GA. Not sure why?

Why are they even asking me for an appointmen? I filed thry my lawyers and sent them all the documents (my photos etc.).

Please help as this is urgent and I am not too sure what to do.

Well, so you think I should fly all the way from SFO to atlanta? Is there any other work around?

Has anyone ever seen this before where they call you from an appointment even when you applied normal way.

please do suggest. What should I do. I am kinda desperate here.

To refresh. I filed an EAD renewal in VSC. I live in CA. I did NOT do the e-file. I filed the normal way using my attorney.

Now my attorney who is based in atlanta used his address to file my ead since I was moving around at that point. I recieved a notice to appear in person on 13th of november which is thursday.

I live in Bay area. I went to local service center here in CA and they say I should have never recieved a notice to appear in person since this is not an e-file and they were not able to help.

What should I do at this point?

1. Should I just go ahead and fly there for my ead?

2. Or should I just tell them I am not able to go there and get an interim ead meanwhile?

Any suggestions, I would really really appreciate it.

Yes,

I recently filed for EAD renewal and went to my appointment.

They take your photo and take finger-print of 1 finger (maybe to confirm ur indentity.)

Not to worry I think you can call and re-schedule to your convenience, like around thank giving..
