Urgent: EAD and Advance Parole

Hello experts:

I have to get back to my Attorney within an hour about this. They submitted for an H1 extension in March'07 and that is siting as "pending" - even my company paid $1500 for expedited process. As the priority date is current my Attorney is going to submit my 485 documents and she asked me whether I want to apply for EAD and Advance parole. Is this good thing to do? I know my wife would be able to start working with that. What is that going to let me do? Sorry I am not familiar with that EAD process.

My company a fortune 10 has opened a office in Bangalore, India and I was asked to go there to fix some stuffs. So if I go with that advance parole in India - can I come to USA without any problem? My H1 visa expired.

Please let me know as soon as possible - I appreciate any suggestion/advise.

Considering the quick turn around thats expected from you to go to India in near future...for the purpose of using, you can keep using your H1B extension that they applied for you.

Whether you are paying or the company, applying EAD and AP is a good option, coz, as you said it will give your wife the freedom to work, which I am sure is an important priority, if not for immediate future...on the long term.

EAD and AP can still be applied...they go into effect, only when you USE them. In the sense, EAD can be your backup option, and need not be used. For travel, you can keep using your H1, as long as its valid and you have got it extended.

Thats my opinion.
 
Yes company will pay for my wife and I; so you are saying it is good to have those document. What is the benifit of having EAD and AC. If you have any documentation or link of any sort please point me to those. for instance if I loss my job or something what is my options etc. with those EAD and AC.
