I think the DOL is just holding the cases with masters degree just because they can't remand those cases to state and they can't issue NOF letter asking for putting another job ad. They know there are still not enough U.S citizens with master degree, so they can't deny the case. All these cases eventually will get certified, but we have to wait for atleast 6 months. The DOL certifying officer can hold a case for 6 months without taking a decision and without issuing any NOF on a case. You can choose to wait for another 6 months or you can ask your employer/attorney to contact the DOL and check the status. Normally the attorney can check the status of a case directly with DOL if 35 days have been passed since it has reached the processing date. All of my employer cases filed along with mine were certified on 06/27/2003. I know it has been more than 35 days now. But I am not willing to talk to my employer because they are not much cooperative. The HR manager of my employer is not helping me much and I can't contact the attorney directly. So I have decided to wait for another 4,5 months and if I am not getting my LC certified by that time I am planning to switch my company and start all over again.
Please post here if your attorney talk to the DOL.
Best of luck.

SO DOL Certfying officer can hold the case upto 6 mons from the date the case was reviewed or from the date the case reached the regional DOl? I told my lawyer to follow up but havent heard anything back.
Let me know if yours got certified. Once of my freind was saying its not good to bug the certifying officer abt the case because he may get frustuated and deny it. Anyway i think its all our bad luck.
