Hello Post- CPiers,

During Consular Processing interview at US consulate- they asked us to sign a document. I don't remember contents. But it was something like--" When I return to US, I will work for the
sponsering employer.....etc".

Does anyone remember the entire content?
I was wondering if that document had anything mentioned about duration ( How long one should stay with the sponsering employer after returning to US after obtaining GC ?)

If anyone remembers, please post.

Every CPer has to sign the letter that the sponsoring company will hire you upon your return to US or if some thing happens between the time you get your immigrant visa and the before you land in US, then you should inform the US consulate/embassy or US immigration about it.

There is no fixed time that you have to stay with your GC sponsoring company. But most Cpers try to stay for atleast 6 months after getting their GC.

Technically, an individual can/should never leave the sponsoring company but there are many more factors involved.

Good Luck.
