My I485 RD is Feb 2005. Got laid off in Aug 2006 with a 60 day notice meaning I was on payroll until Oct 2006. Got an RFE for EVL in Aug 2006. I found another similar job and started without any gap in employment. And responded to the RFE (did not send any pay stubs). My 485 could be processed any time as my PD is 2001 Nov. I belong to EB2 India.
My client is offering me a full-time position but cannot extend the contract. What would be the risks if I take up the full time position. The client's attorney said that they would file portability as soon as I join them.
