Urgent: Changing job before CP interview

Hi all:

I have been wating on my PCC from Canada for almost 2.5 months now and it looks like i'm not going to receive it any time soon. Can I do internal transfer within the same company (change job but stay with the same employer) BEFORE the CP interview?

Technically there should not be any problem. You have to consider that the GC process is for a specific future job.

As long as you are able to carry a letter stating that the job
as mentioned in the LC is open for you to fill upon completion
of the CP interview, then it is OK!

But can't this wait for a month or two?

Thank you for your reply. Actually it is not just one or two months. RCMP is saying the average time to get your PCC has increased to 5 months, so 3 more months to get the PCC and another 3 months for review/interview date, we are talking about 6 to 7 months here.

Although I explained to NVC that I have NOT lived in Canada for more than 6 months, they still insist that I need to submit the PCC. :(
