Urgent: Can I get AP in local INS in NYC ?

I greatkt appreciate if some one here ask my question.

I may have to vist my homecountry because my mom is in the hospital.
Can I get AP ( I-131) in the local INS office in NYC ? How long it will take ?
I was told that you can get it immdeicately. Is it right ?

What is address of local INS in NYC ?

I-485: RD 02/06/01, ND 02/15/01.

It is done in one day...

You can get AP in one day. However, in your case I heard that NYC is closed.
