Urgent! b1/b2 visa with company annotation. (travelling as tourist)

Hi,

This is urgent! I have a b1/b2 visa with annotation of my company ("ADP India"). The visa is valid till July 2006 and I want to travel next week to USA - to meet my sister. Since my purpose is to visit usa as tourist, can this visa be used for my travel?

I asked this question to the consulate via email and received the reply that yes this visa is valid. I called them up also and again got the same response. First the lady said that if there is annotation it is not valid ..then I said that it is B1/B2 and then she said ok that it is valid. Some of my friends say that it is not valid.. I just hear different things!!

I am just afraid that the consulate officers may be subjective and so look for your opinion.It is urgent!

Your visa is valid for a visit. The annotation on the visa, tells us what you intended to do when you applied for the visa.

As long as you visa is valid it can be used to visit the US. Also, you passport must be valid for 6 months pass the visa expiration date, unless your home country is part of the "Six Month Club".
