Urgent! Asylum granted, but haven't applied for Green Card. Now married to Us Citizens

Hi,

My asylum is granted more than a year ago, so I'm technically eligible for a green card but meanwhile I am married to a US citizen. Can I file 485 through marriage rather than as asyle.
WHY? Because waiting time for GC through asylum is 26-40 months while through marriage is 6-8 months.

if yes, then what kind of process will I go through? Being already eligible for Green Card, and having a unrestricted work visa will help for affidavit support ?

my advise is to stick with the adjust of status through asylum for the 2 reasons

- getting your green card through asylum is almost guaranteed assuming you met all the requirements/ sent the documents required , while green card through marriage may requires interview and convincing USCIS that the marriage is bona fide

- green card though asylum is permanent while green card though marriage is conditional if you married is less than 2 years old.

I doubt that the process is shorter than applying for asylum , it depends on your location .

I dont mind about interview since it's a real marriage. All I was curious, if I'm eligible to apply through marriage.

Unfortunately, it's true that green card through asylum takes up to 3 years and minimum 2 years regardless of location since the process takes place only in Texas while through marriage is as fast as 4 months in Boston.

Get it through marriage but don’t go back to your country if your asylum was based on political issue! Cause if they doubt fraud in your asylum u will face lots of problems when applying for citizenship
