Hi, Guys:

I have a question. I submited 485 to vermont in Jan. 2002. I got laid off early this month and yesterday received INS's letter requesting for employment letter. If I use my EAD to find a job in California and send RFE back to vermont in time, will vermont transfer my case to INS california center ? Did you guys see similar
cases happened in vermont center ?

My job was transferred from NYC to Chicago after I-485 was filed. A year later it's still with VSC even though Chicago is under the jurisdiction of NSC.
 
I presume you have a job in CA. Or you are trying to buy time. If you do not have a job, there might be some "Consulting Companies" who might be willing to have you on payroll if you pay the taxes. Since you are in RFE stage, if you do not have a job, I would opt for this route.
