Urgent: 2nd FP date past due

Gurus/Guys,

For my wife we received 2nd FP notice today (from our attorney) and the date (7/9) is already passed. Any similar experience please share
a) Can we go tomorrow and try our luck to get finger printed. or otherwise,
b) Hopefuly if we request a re-schedment they wouldnt reject it as it was requested after mentioned finger printing date.

Please comment.

PS we are indeed oldtimers (RD Oct2001). However my 485 was approved last month.
 
You should not have any problem but incase, do not throw the envelope in which you received the FP notice, envelope has a date stamp by your local post office. May help sometimes...

You should be able to find another date in your FP notice.
Normally USCIS provide us a second date and location in the notice in case we couldn't make the FP in the first date.

Thanks for your replies .... its a very good point ... to take the envelop as well.


I am unable to see another date, only there is a place to request re-shedulement.

We went to local INS office and got fingerprints (few days after appoinmtment date). No questions asked, it was straight forward.
