URGENT - 2 FINGER PRITNS and WEIRD SITUATION

Hi,

I am currently in India. I got my 2nd fingerprints (CODE 2) done in june 7th. Then i came to India(in july) for planned for 5 months.Then my husband received ASC appointment notice for CODE 1 3rd fingerprints for aug 31st.

I was planning to come to US sometime in november. The notice doesn't have any expiry date, but it has reschedule option, and they will send another notice later for date.

1. If i want to reschedule, what will be the timeline i get in StPaul for fingerprints? any one tried in this location?
2. Why did i get Code2 and Code1 in just about 1 month in between?
3. My LUD shows june 8th (1 day after my 2nd fingerprints taken).
4. If i just come to US for fingerprints and come back to India, what are the chances i get my 485 approved, and timeline?

My husband 485 has been approved 1 year back, i was follow to join in the process.
my RD is May 2003

You can easily reschedule your appointment, but it may unnecessarily delay your process (I think). If I was in this position I would come here get the FP done and then go back if needed.

The reason why USCIS might be asking you to come back for Code 1 could be that your previous code 1 is expired.

There are good chances that your case is approved after you return to India. In such a case at the port of entry you might have to explain your situation to immigration officer, as I have heard immigration officer will put a stamp on your passport asking you to go to some local office or return to airport within 30 days to show your proof of immigration.

I agree with thukralrk, It may further delay your apllication if you reschedule your appointment.

BTW Can you share when was your first FP done ?
 
Thanks for replies. I will be rescheduling it because it would be hard for me to come and go with kids. I am just secondary, so i am not much worried about aproval. My first FP was done in 18 months back. I think last CODE 2 was for my AP that i applied. I read in forum CODE 2 is for EAD, but i didn't apply EAD.
