For those who are concerned with the 20K H1B. The purpose of the Law was to help maintain U.S. competitiveness and secure American technological future by attracting a targeted pool of talented individuals with advanced degrees from U.S. universities.
Unfortunately, the implementation of the Law has been significantly and indefinitely delayed, and its purpose is being defeated.
As a result, this uncertainty is causing extreme burden and hardships both to U.S. employers whose hiring plans are in jeopardy and to beneficiaries of the law whose career plans and expiring legal status are negatively affected.
Currently, the Guidance to implement the Law is under review by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), but has no official deadline.
