Hello friends,
I - primary applicant - received FP notice with appointment on Sept 20. However, have not it yet received for my wife. Daughter is less than 14, hence, believe she won't need. My case is in Vermont Center.
When 485 papers were filed for all of us, I did send in the checks and all of them are cleared through bank. For my wife, however, I received first not 'receipt notice' but 'billing notice' saying the amount was not received for fingerprinting and in case not paid in 87 days, the case will be abondoned. Subsequently, however, I did receive the receipt notice as well. However, if I check on AVM, for her I am still getting the message as of August 1st - saying the amount is not yet paid.
Since I have appointment on Sept 20th, I took up this with attorney and she advised me to take my wife with me on that date along with the documents - passport, marriage certificate, receipt notice and request the INS official personally and orally for having her as well finger printed.
My questions -
a) anybody gone through similar scenario ?
b) since I don't have fp notice for her, what should be finger
printing application number for her ?
c) how can I track the finger printing process later on for her ?
d) any other issues/questions/possibilities likely to come later ?
e) do they entertain this kind of requests ?
