Upgrading approved I-130 upon naturalization

I understand one can just use an existing approved I-130 (and not have to file a new one) for filing I-485 for spouse after the sponsor naturalizes.

My question is: since the I-485 package for family based GC has to be filed at local office together with the I-130, will they accept the I-130 approved as a spouse of GC or will the I-130 have to be sent to the Service Center and receive a new approval as spouse of U.S Citizen before sending the entire package to the local office. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated

Not directly related to your question, but.........
In my case, I-130 was not approved at the time I became a citizen. I sent a letter to Vermont to upgrade my I-130 which took around 3 months just to change the category and another 2 months to get it approved, making me eligible to apply for I-485/EAD.
At the same time, Officer in Vermont told me that I can also apply a new I-130/485/EAD at the district office as a citizen of US and can cancel my original petition after the district office accepts the second one.
So,In the mean time I filed a fresh I-130 in the district office along with I-485/EAD. They accepted the application and we got the EAD in 3 months and passport stamping in around 8 months.

The district office is Newark.

Anyway, Good Luck to you.
