Updated vaccine requirements - Covid

From Oct 1, Covid vaccines are being added to the medicals required whether getting an immigrant visa or adjusting status. Waivers will be granted for those too young, for whom it is medically inappropriate, and for those in countries where they do not have access to an approved vaccine. (There is also the option to apply for a waiver for those who object to vaccines on a religious basis, but this application has to go through uscis whereas the other waivers can be made by the doctor.)

Hi....can I ask if you dont mind.....any approved covid vaccine is ok...or is it imperative we take Pfizer vaccines only....in my country we are given AstraZeneca

Any vaccine approved (even if not yet full approval) by either WHO or FDA is acceptable, so AZ will be fine.

Hi all, slightly OT but I had a questions regarding vaccinations and ds260 and this seems a good enough place: on the ds260 I found (pag 72 of the pdf of the exemplar on the travel gov website)there is question asking if the applicant has received vaccinations in accordance with US law. If answered 'yes' how is this to be proven? Should the applicant scan the documents regarding vaccinations and (if needed translate them) and send to KCC/bring to Consulate?

Answer no and in the section to explain that it will be completed at the visa medical. You don’t technically know its yes unless you are a panel physician.

Hey Guys i'm from Australia and I submitted my D260 form 2 days ago and I answered yes to this question without realising as I just assumed our vaccinations requirements would be the same as US (silly of me I know!), should i be trying to unlock my D260 so i can answer no to this question.

don’t worry about it, your medical will deal with the required vaccines before the interview.

Thanks.
Maybe a bit of a picky question but does this imply that information on the vaccines we have received during the course of life should be brought to the medical?

Yes, you will be instructed to bring any proof of vaccines you may have (many adults have lost theirs) to the interview.
