Update on our son's case

I have posted before that all our cases are approved except our 14 year old son.

We were approved on his 14th birthday.

I sent a letter to TSC on May 3rd making a status inquiry on his case.

They wrote back to me saying that his case is pending due to finger prints and security checks.

So I called every week and they sent FP notice to him.
He was finger printed on May 18th, 2005.

I wrote a letter again to TSC ( apart from calling twice a week ) on July 14th requesting them to expedite his case.


I received a response from TSC in writing on August 20th saying that his Fp's were cleared and that they were waiting for his security check results from FBI.

Interestingly , The security checks were ordered for him were in bold and highlighted letters.

This response was totally different from the earlier one so it was not a stereo type that was used.

I have applied for AP for him to travel.

It was encouraging to receive written responses from TSC where they do not even respond to Senetor inquiries in some cases. This gives a bit of hope.

Thought I would share this information.

Further to my earlier post I just saw that his LUD changed today.
His last LUD was on October 26th,2004 as a response to my address change notification.

I am praying for some good news in my son's case.

Update on our son's case, Approved.

Dear Friends,

I have posted twice yesterday giving an update on our 14 year old son's pending case.

His LUD changed on August 22nd, after his last LUD on October 26th, 2004 in response to the address change.

Today morning when I checked my email , there was a single email from CRIS stating his case is approved.

This completes my 2002 I485 case for all our family members.
A couple of things I would like to mention.

Since our approval on March 30th, 2005 I kept calling TSC every week, sent two letters and got written response to both, got my son finger printed on May 18th.

There was no chnage to his LUD or case status.

On August 22nd morning our Lawyer filed his AP, and the same evening his LUD changed and I got the email today saying that his case is approved.

I have a strong feeling that the way his case progressed, it is this AP that triggered his approval .

I may be wrong but I have no complaints.

As for the $ 165 spent on his AP application, I feel it is worth every cent if it helped triggering his approval.

For all of you who were approved in recent days and I could not congratulate, here are my hearty congratulations to each one of you.

Sue, I hope and pray that your son's case will be approved soon too.

Ellada, I hope the same for your husband's approval.

I am sure you are relieved that everyone in your family is now done with this process. Applying for the AP paid its dividends. I am in a similar situtaion. Mine and my wifes APs had been pending since Jan 05. Last month they informed us that they have lost our AP applications and that we should re apply. After we resubmitted the APs my 485 LUD changed for 4-5 days. I guess since I am EB3 the officer could not approve me. Maybe October will be our lucky month.

Anyway, congrats again and enjoy the well deserved freedom.

Thank you Saras for your congratulations. It is indeed a great relief to finally have all in the family approved.

I am sure you and your wife will be in the first group of approvals in the month of October.

Update on our son's case, Approved

Thanks POJ,

The cake is wonderful and yummy. All four of us tried to finish it but could not so it went into the refrigirator for tomorrow.

Although I was approved on March 30th, I feel a sense of relief and elation only today when our younger son is approved.

I feel like celebrating now.

Let us all remember to wish and pray for Ned as its time he had a positive change to his long pending case.
