Update from Milwaukee

Today I had my fingerprinting taken at USCIS in Milwaukee. My appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM, however I got there at 1:20 PM. The office was completely empty and immediately a clerk gave me a form to fill out and asked me for my appointment letter, Green Card and DL. After answering all the questions from the form and the fingers printed on those high-tech computers, I was ready to go back home at 1:33PM. Total of time spent today on appointment was exactly 13 minutes! ;)
I would like to know how to follow up on my case at this point. I mean, how can I find out that FBI has received my fingerprinting and forwarded my info to USCIS?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Another question

Thank you for your prompt answer. I read your timeline and I still have a doubt about this matter and my question is: How many days/weeks later did you call the phone # above for a update?

Thanks again,

Does it work?

I called today the phone number given by you (thanks ocworker) and I got the following information: The FBI received my fingerprint and forwarded the backgorund result to USCIS on the same day of my appointment! (11/09). Well, I believe it is good news and at least, I know this part is done in just few hours. However, for the name cleareance, I was advised to call the number 202-324-2399 (located in Washington D.C.). I treid to speak w/ someone but there is a VM saying that I should send an email to fbinncp@ic.fbi.gov with my name, A# and DOB, etc and they will contact me back with further details. My question is: Does it work? Is there anyone here who received a reply from the address above with the info requested?

Thanks in advance,
