It will be more like a week, atleast in the bay area. Think about it, there are way more Indians in the US than most other countries put together. If all of them are expected to go for Special registration, then god help us as far as waiting in line is concerned. It is going to take forever to stand outside INS and get a token number. And the process is definitely more than just a mug shot. Besides if they do that, then they will take atleast 6 months to process the information. Say good bye to receiving 485 approval in the next 2 - 3 years. :(

Well, if you are worried about too many indians, I'd hate to ask what happens when they start special registering mexicans. But they won't add mexicans too the list until very very afterwards.
 
Divine...yeh right.... Make me INS director and i will make sure all of us get approval today and received by all by next day from overnight Fedex .
 
When is next board of directors meeting ? I have to put in my "things to do list" :D
gohst- You need to have atleast EAD to become director
I am too busy otherwise I would have taken this post.
