Thanks everyone for the effort made. I am a DV2006 fortunate winner and will be going for my CP Interview in 3 weeks time. I would like to know what it all entails regarding preparations, that is, Affidavit of Support, kind of questions normally asked for those who are residing in the US, how long does it take for the name check to be cleared?
Do you think that the consular officials always initiate and get done with the name checks before the material day of the interview. When they do this what is the purpose?
By the way, I just graduated this past May 2006 but haven't secured a job on the line of my degree though O do have a job. Do you think this is a problem?
Also, my F-1 VISA expired a week ago and was planning to renew it if things don't wok well with my DV2006 Interview, that is, 3 days after the CP Interview. If am to lose the DV2006 can I get the F-1 STUDENT VISA to come and continue with my OPT?
Please advice accordingly. All thoughts and ideas will be appreciated a bunch.
