Unusual issue: CSC transfered I-485 to NSC, and then NSC transferred it back to CSC.

Hello,

Receipt Date issue: CSC transfered my I-485 application to NSC and then NSC transferred it back to CSC.

I filed I-485 application under EB-2 (RIR) with CSC (Laguna Negel, CA) on OCT 18 2002.
In Jan 2004, CSC transferred my application to NSC (Lincoln, NE) and sent me a Notice.
In Feb 2004, I received a new Receipt Number from NSC (LIN-**-***-*****)
In Mar 2004, NCS transferred my case to CSC. I have not received any notice yet.

I checked my Case Status online using the original receipt # WAC-03-012-*****, and it says that USCIS has received my I-485 application on March 1st 2004.

USCIS is current processing JAN 15th 2003, and my original filing date is OCT 18 2002. Technically they should have already processed my case, but for no reason they transferred it between CSC & NSC and messed-up my filing dates.

My attorney says that I make an appointment with Local LOS Angeles Office to speak with an Immigration officer. I am with a new employer since last 2 years. I have not sent AC-21 yet.


Can anyone suggest???

yeah thats a good idea

go over there and ask them what the f***!!!!

but seriously yeah let them know maybe they can expedite yours

but in all honesty I don't think they can do very much

they have protocol to follow and I think you just got screwed.

could you provide more details about your case please.
My case was filed to CSC when it was supposed to filed to VSC.
i got the EAD/FP i dont know if that means CSC has started work on my case
or would it transfer both I140 & 485 to VSC at later point. I am very much worried after looking at your post. But in the case of rk4gc, his labor was certified from NC but he was I140 & 485 to CSC and it was approved last month.

please provide for details so that i can better understand the background

1) was your Concurrently filed case [ I140 & 485 ] ?
2) did you get EAd/FP done from CSC ?
3) did you live in CSC area while filing for 485 and do you continue to live in the CSC area
4) where was the labor from ? does your company have a branch in CSC area
