Unreliable IIO information?

I just talked to an IIO (same polite lady once again I think!!). This time she said that my case was assigned to an officer on January 23rd! Almost a month ago! The case is still pending- however, she didn\'t see any RFE ordered as of today. Earlier I believe the same lady was saying (a few days back) that my case wasn\'t assigned to an officer yet!
What to believe.. what not to!
Oh well.
