My case may be a rare one, but I'm hoping to get some advice from this community.
I have a pending I-485 with my father (citizen) based on unmarried child of US citizen over 21 year old category. We filed my I-485 after I-130 was approved in this category. My I-485 has been pending at FBI for a long time. I'm wondering if I get married now, and my case is changed to married child category which would be 3 years away from my priority date.
Will this affect my current I-485 application, which is based on an approved I-130 under a different category? Is I-485 application still valid even if my approved I-130 will no longer be, since I need to wait for more time now for my PD to be current again under the new category?
Can I use my EAD/AP with my current I-485?
