Unemployment benifit while GC is in 485 stage

Hi everyone,
Please help me. I'm in my 485 stage of my GC processing, received EAD. But now I'm on bench. My company is asking me to file for unemployment benifit.

My question is
can I file for Unemployment benifit????

IF yes is it going to effect my GC Processing????

Please help me....
