unemployment benefits

great! but is it conditional like maybe 6 months only or as long as it takes to find a job???

I got my GC in September, got laid off in October. Is it OK to apply for unemployment benifits?

It is OK and perfectly legal.
 
Just Another Question

Hi,

Just another quick question, my case was CP, my employer in August gave me letter that they will employee me when I return. Thus could it be a problem for the employer in any way. I do not want to do that as they have helped me a lot.

It could be a problem if the employer NEVER intended to employ you and lied in his notarized affidavit. It could also be a problem if you never intended to work there.
