Unemployment benefit (Urgent)

Hi I need help. I will lose my job end of this month after 180 days of filing I-485 with RD in10/2002. I think my case will be reviewed at least for a year. I know I need get the same or similar job as soon as possible. I want to know that is there any negative effect if I apply unemployment benefit during these period. I am in Minnesota where I am eligible for these benefit. My concern is that if the INS has way to know that I am out of job and reject my I-485 petition or trigger RFE immediately.

Frankly speaking you are not eligible for UC until you get your 485 approved. Once it is approved you are eligible. If you want to take the risk, it is up to you. Your 485 is based on your employment and if you are claiming unemployment you are out right telling that you are unemployed.
 
There were lots of discussions a while

back. Some paralegal and attorneys were also involved on the discussion. I felt they were saying it is ok to claim ui since it is from the company(paid) state collected insurance and ok to reclaim during valid ead state. it is up to you to decide. I have seen more than a dozen indian friends of mine collecting ui and not disclosing anything. again it is upto you to decide.
