Since I am stuck in namecheck (interview was in July 2007, I-485 filed in November 2006), I paper-filed my EAD renewal in late October (some 105 days before the expiration of the current one).
In early November I received an ASC appointment notice for code 2 PF in late November associated with this renewal.
However, today my online status for this renewal shows that "On November 19, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case." No CHRIS emails, too...
Needless to say, I am at the same very address, never moved and never used any other addresses (I filed w/o a lawyer).
Questions:
1. Does USCIS mail out some other I-797Cs and not just ASC appointments when they receive EAD renewals - something like receipts, maybe? In other words - what that might have been that the post office failed to deliver?
2. Of course, I am going to call the (mis)information line tomorrow and advise them that the address is still the same. Since they will advise me to wait another 30 days, which is past my ASC appointment, should I attend it or not?
3. is it just a computer glitch or an indication of some trouble?
