unauthorized work in G325A

My lawyer advised me not to include the unauthorized work my spouse performed for 1 year in her G325A. Is there a way that USCIS will find out that she in fact worked for company x for 1 year? (she is a dependent not the principal applicant in AOS)

Is this a family based petition? If yes, are you as the husband petitioning for her as the USC or is someone else petitioning for your wife?

Whatever the case, it is not advisable to lie?

Was the work documented with a traceable # such as SSN or ITIN, and income reported via W2 and taxes filed?
