UN Please Help - Overseas Check

My lawyer did an inquiry on my I140 (ND-sep'03, EB3) and got a response that your file has been sent to overseas. It looks like to me that my case is gone. My lawyer is saying it could take upto one year before we hear hear anything in your case. What do you think ? What we should do to expedite the case?

Please suggest.

Did you apply in L1a category? (inter company transfer)
No.

Have you used different education evaluations at different centers?
No.

Are all the companies that you provided experience certificates from still in business?
Yes.

Did you use a substitute labor that was revoked by a person who went through consular processing?

Used my own labor.

I have a BS in Textiles. I don't know whether they are doing an inquiry on that. Have you seen these type of cases before. Do you know how long it takes for these types of inquiries ?
