UK Transit Visa for AP users - Information
In case anyone needs a UK transit visa urgently (and this is needed, period, for people availing their Advanced Parole travel document EVEN if you are not deplaning the plane in London), use one of the Agency/Facilitator services for each servicing district (http://www.britainusa.com/visas/visas.asp)
They do not need appointments and will get you the visa within 24 hours if all the required documentation is provided to them. They charge ~$100 for their service.
I came upon this service this morning when I found out that I needed a transit visa and I am leaving on Tuesday July 12. No in-person appointments were available at the NYC consulate until July 25. This service seems to be great in cases such as mine.
