This is what is called day-time robbery... What are they providing for transit passengers? Lunch and VIP treatment ?
Other countries charge around 10$ to 15$ for the same 2 hour hastle we are put through during the transit (running from one gate to another)
I send email to German Consulate in Chicago and San Francisco stating I got Passport stamped for LPR and waiting for actual card and should I need a transit visa!.
Both replied, one said Yes and other said NO...
can something go right in this world!!!
I am going to use AP when i travel to india via Frankfurt.
Where should i get transit visa(what abt charges). Once we get down in FrankFurt??? OR German Consulate in USA.
If you have AP you do not need a transit Visa in Frankfurt. My friend went and came back with out any problem. Infact I just picked him at the airport today.
If you have AP, then you don't need a transit visa in Amsterdam. We just travelled on KLM a couple of months ago. So, please consider alternate airports instead of getting ripped off.
I hear different experiences daily. So better check with consulate and get some kind of document (email or web page print out),so you will be able to cover up in case they question you at airport.
You dont know what will happen. To be out of issues, I am getting a tourist visa in singapore and staying there for 3 days.
