Hi,
I have been issued a Re-Entry permit twice (each was granted for a period of two years). Both of the times, I left U.S. right after applying and my permits came after 3-4 months of the date of applying. I came back within the expiration date of the permits but the total period i.e. the day I left U.S and the day I came back to U.S exceeded a total of two years.
For my First Re-entry permit: Total time outside U.S. = 26 Months
For my Second Re-entry permit: Total time outside U.S. = 27 Months
Since I came back within the expiration date, I did not have any problems at the port of entry into the U.S but can I have a problem during my nationality interview?
Thanks,
Erum
P.S. I have retained a permanent address and filed all income tax returns during the permission time.
