Typing or hand-writing?

Is there a kind of N-400 form which could be filledout by typing letters? It will make the applications easy to read for IO. Can do anything rather than use hand writing to fillout the form?
 
You should be able to fill in the N400 form at the BCIS site. You need to have Acrobat Reader in order to do this.
 
You can not only fill out the downloadable PDF, you can also save it with all the data filled out.
 
I downloaded and printed the PDF copy (blank). Then I filled in most of the parts in ink (as a working copy). Once I was satisfied, I went back to the USCIS site, filled in the PDF on-line and printed it.

For things that have changed, I've gone back to the USCIS site and filled in my A-number and then only the changed page and printed that.
