1.Looking at the messages, it looks like it is taking between 3-6 weeks for approval after reply to RFE received. Anyone whose approval is delayed beyond this timeframe ?

Reply to my RFE was recieved on Dec 23. on Jan 23, USCISissued a RFE for my wife. Reply to RFE received on March 11 as per on line message. I'm checking the probability of being approved before April 20.

2. My wife is planning on traveling out of the country by April end. She has a valid AP.

If we have the approval notice at least 2-3 days before her journey date, I think we can manage to get the passport stamped.

a) What happens if the case is approved when she is outside the country. My lawyer said no problem in entering with AP, but I want to cross check with others. ( Since the attorney's office has made blunders before, I tend to take whatever they say with a pound of salt!)

b) What happens in the hypothetical situation that the case is approved on the day she is travelling (and we do not know that yet, since online status does not change till next day) - Or even if the online message is changed, tha approval letter has not not been received.

Will it still be OK for her to leave the country without the stamp and enter on AP?

Anyone with any information, please post your responses.

1. Yes, there was a thread floating around on this regard a few weeks ago.
2. a. Your lawyer is right this time.
b. Same as a.

You should have no problems claiming that your wife travelled before she found out about her approval, in which case when she enters the country, she will have to go for differed admission. But she will have no problems getting her passport stamped or entering the country.
