Two finger print notice at one go!

After waiting endlessly for what seemed like ages....I finally received my Finger print notice....not one but two. They have different codes on them and are scheduled for different dates. Can any one shed some light on this? Has this happened to any one else? Appereciatte any feed back.

My understanding is: Code 1=normal FP, Code 2=biometric only, Code 3=FP and biometric. Normal FP is for background check, biometric is for generating GC.
 
Call 1-800 number to tell them what happen. If there is a error, they will transfer you to USCIS immigration officer. I believe that is the best way to do it before you spend a lot of time to think about it.
 
Thank you for the replies. I tried calling the 1-800 number but was placed on hold forever...so lost my patience. Will try againg tomorrow. Code-3 for biometric makes sense I read it somehwere else in the forum as well. Or else I am going to take both notices anyways and ask at the FP center.

Renusun, I had earlier done my normal FP and then I received one for code 2, ie Biometrics. I think when you take both the notices to the FP center, they may do both at one time or may probably ask to appear as per the FP notice.

BTW, what is your priority date ?

Yes I did read the word biometric in the FP notice with the code 3. So I am going to take both notices tomorrow. Will let you know what happens.
MY PD IS 12/06/2001 !!

ONMARCH2003, dint you already receive your 2nd FP?

I got third FP notice twice to appear for biometrics on May 12th and other on May 19th

I called CS and the lady told me to appear on May12th and take both the notices
 
Got my FP AND Photograph taken on May 7th in Detroit. Since I had both notices they said code 3 overrides code 1. So they did what was rquired for biometrics i.e. FP AND Photograph.
